Becoming a Member

Any person professing faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior may offer himself as a candidate for membership in Old Fort Baptist. All such candidates shall be presented to the church at any regular worship service for membership in any of the following ways:

1. By profession of faith and for baptism,
2. By promise of a letter of recommendation from another Baptist church, or
3. By statement of Christian commitment and conversion experience, if previously baptized by immersion when no letter is obtainable.

Persons interested in becoming a member of Old Fort Baptist may indicate this desire publicly during any of the churches scheduled worship services, or at another time agreed upon with one of the ministers.

Members are expected to follow the church covenant, to be faithful in all responsibilities inherent in the Christian life, to attend regularly the services of the church, to give regularly to support the church and Kingdom growth, and to share in the work of the church.

New church members will be expected to participate in the churches new member orientation class. You will be notified through our media program when this class is scheduled.
