December Prayer Requests |
| Dec. 1 God works in unusual ways. Due
to the timing of getting the prayer calendar to our Prayer Advocate I wrote
last month that Katelyn was not going to get to go on her Writer's Retreat.
As it turned out God made the way the Friday before the trip for her to
change her testing schedule and go on the retreat so your prayers for her
were answered. Thank you for praying. She had a wonderful time and it was
also very beneficial for her writing.
Dec. 2 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share with a Sunday School class from Old Fort Baptist Church. Dec. 3 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share at DoorWay Baptist Church today. Dec. 4 Pray for God to work as people meet this week to pray for International Missions. Dec. 5 Pray for Tim as he begins taking final exams today. Dec. 6 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share with the children and youth at Ridgeville Baptist Church tonight. Dec. 7 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share with the Mary Saunders Prayer group from Portside Baptist Church. We praise God for this special bunch of ladies that have so faithfully prayed for us over the years. Dec. 8 As the Week of Prayer comes to an end pray that God would show each of us what He would have us doing in giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering this year and that we would be obedient to Him. Dec. 9 Thank you for praying for Dan as he was at Briarlake Baptist Church's Global Impact Conference. We added several more to our prayer partner and many more made different decisions to join God in His work. Dec. 10 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share with the folks at Northbridge Baptist Church today. Dec. 11 Thank you for praying for Dan and Pam as they participated in the Global Missions Conference at Summerville Baptist Church. Praise God for those who have surrendered for prayer, going, and giving to missions and for our four new prayer partners from there. Dec. 12 Stand beside the newest Central Eastern Southern Africa missionaries in prayer as they make their first formative relationships, see the place where they will live and work, and become learners in almost every aspect of their lives. There are 10 new missionaries in Tanzania alone. Dec. 13 Join in prayer together for CESA missionaries that they may continue to preach the word, "ready in season and out of season to reprove, rebuke, exhort with great patience and instructions." 2 Tim 4:2 Dec. 14 As we look back over the year we want to thank you for praying. In January and February we asked you to pray about college for Tim. God has answered so abundantly. Not only did Tim get into the community college here in Charleston, SC God provided the money and even answered the being a resident issue that we had at the beginning of the term. Tim finished with flying colors and couldn't believe how quickly the semester went. We know your prayers helped. Dec. 15 Pray for the choir and cast of DoorWay Baptist Church as we have our final dress rehearsal tonight. Dec. 16 Pray for the choir at DoorWay Baptist Church at they present the Christmas musical "Jesus: Our Treasure" tonight and tomorrow night. Dec. 17 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share at Wando Baptist Church today. Dec. 18 Pray for the youth at DoorWay Baptist Church as they have a Progressive Dinner tonight. Pray that the devotions shared at each location will give them a greater love for our Lord. Dec. 19 In April we asked you to pray for the school situation for Katelyn. We are praising God for how He worked it out for Katelyn to go to the School of the Arts here in Charleston. This has been a great place for Katelyn. She is being challenged and is growing in her writing. She is still adjusting to the "teen culture" here but we know your prayers have made it easier than it would have been. Thank you for praying for her. Dec. 20 May was a big month for us as we saw Tim graduate from high school and enter the next phase of life. He has been able to keep up with many of his friends and we have been able to open our home to several that are away from home. Pray that we will be available to others who need a home away from home. Dec. 21 June was a busy month for us and your prayers were so very much appreciated. Because of your prayers Pam's kidney problems were completely taken care of in a God size way (who ever heard of passing a kidney stone with zero pain, your prayers made it happen). We also have some wonderful memories of our time in Germany with fellow missionaries. Thank you for praying for safety in travel and good times with friends and families. Dec. 22 We praise the Lord for how He continues taking care of us and answering the prayers that you make on our behalf. We have a beautiful home to live in (thank you DoorWay Baptist Church), a great vehicle to drive (thank you Macedonia Call Foundation), and many new prayer partners (thanks to each of you for answering God's call to pray for us). Dec. 23 We praise God for the way He has been at work in the various Global Impact Conferences we have been involved in. What a joy to see so many commit their lives to missions through praying, going, giving, and sending. Dec. 24 As we celebrate this Christmas set aside some time today to truly worship our Lord and Savior. What a privilege we have to serve Him. Dec. 25 Give thanks to God for His great love as we celebrate the birth of Christ today. Dec. 26 Pray for the Johnsons as they travel to Florida today to spend a few days with Pam's family. Dec. 27 Pray that this will be a wonderful family time as we share the joy of the season together. This is the first Christmas we will have with Pam's family since her mom passed away in 2004. Even though the rest of the family has already done this together we know it will be hard on us (especially Pam). Dec. 28 We have had so many blessings this year and know many of them were direct results of the prayers going up for us by each of you. We can never tell you enough how very special you are to us. We love each of you even though we have never met some of you. You are part of our mission family. Praise God for each other today. Dec. 29 Thank you for praying for all of the speaking that Dan and Pam have done during November and December. Praise the Lord that He continues to call out pray-ers for us. Praise Him for what He has done through each of you, our pray-ers, over the years and what He is going to do through you in the years to come. You are an awesome prayer force and we praise God for each one of you. As we have said time and again you are the most important part of our team. Dec. 30 Pray for Dan and Pam as they travel to Sebring, Florida for a speaking engagement. Dec. 31 Pray for Dan and Pam as they share with First Baptist Church Lake Josephine. |
